Verification Policy

Effective Date: 15 June 2025 Verification is how EventsPOP confirms that talent are who they say they are before they can accept paid bookings.

1. What We Require

Before accepting paid bookings, every talent must submit: • A valid government-issued photo ID (national ID, passport, or driving licence); • A live selfie taken in the app for facial verification. The selfie must be a live camera capture — gallery photos are not accepted — and is used for identity matching only, separately from your public profile photo.

2. How It's Reviewed

Submitted documents are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. Approval is at EventsPOP's sole discretion. Verification confirms identity only — it is not a background check, criminal clearance, or guarantee of conduct.

3. EP Academy

In addition to identity verification, talent progress through EP Academy — a structured curriculum covering platform basics, professional conduct, safety, and role-specific readiness. Academy level is tied to gig eligibility: higher-paying or more specialised gigs require a higher completed level.

4. How Long Review Takes

Most verification reviews are completed within 24–48 hours. You'll see your verification status update in the app once reviewed.

5. Data Handling

Identity documents are stored securely and access is restricted to authorised Trust & Safety staff. They are retained only as long as needed for verification and legal/compliance purposes, and are deleted within 30 days of account deletion. 6. If Verification Is Rejected

If your documents are rejected, you'll be told why and can resubmit. If you believe a rejection was made in error, contact support@eventspop.org.
